4th Time In IPL History! Rohit Sharma Enters Elite Batters’ Club In Style

Rohit Sharma on Tuesday entered a special club in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he completed 6000 runs in the elite T20 competition. This is only the fourth time in IPL history that a batsman has scored more than 6000 runs in IPL. Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner are the only other batsmen to have scored more than 6000 runs. Rohit reached the milestone by hitting SRH spinner Washington Sundar for a four in the third over of MI’s innings.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Aiden Markram opted to field after winning the toss against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians have made a comeback by winning their last two consecutive matches. The performance of both the teams has been similar.

SRH skipper Aiden Markram said at the toss that they were improving with every game.

“We are going to bowl first. The wicket looks a bit dry, hopefully, it will be better with the dew. Not in the 16 (no change). We will see how the conditions play out and adjust from there. Our Fielding needs improvement. We are improving game by game. It is about finding options and trusting the players.

MI captain Rohit Sharma said that he will focus on playing good cricket.

It’s been fantastic, 15 years IPL has come a long way. Has gone from strength to strength. A lot of good things have happened in 15 years. We have to play good cricket. We understand the challenges of posting totals . We have to assess the conditions. Duane missed out and was replaced by Jason Behrendorff. Jason always should have played, but he wasn’t well in the last game. Now he’s good to go.”
