Ex-India Star Names Mumbai Indians Player As “Next Superstar In World Cricket”. It’s Not Ishan Kishan Or Suryakumar Yadav

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan was all praise for Mumbai Indians all-rounder Cameron Green after his match-winning performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an IPL 2023 match on Tuesday. Green, who was bought by MI during the IPL 2023 mini-auction for Rs 17.50 crore, played an aggressive knock of 64 runs after being promoted to number three to take the team to 192/5. He also picked up the crucial wicket of SRH captain Aiden Markram to set up SRH’s chase of the target. Speaking after the match, Pathan suggested that Green would be the next superstar in world cricket.

“Cameron Green is going to be the next superstar in world cricket. He is a talented player and we are going after him as he is improving his game with each passing day,” Pathan said on Star Sports Cricket Live.

MI has now won three consecutive games in IPL 2023 and a major reason for their rapid turnaround has been the performances of their youngsters like Green, Tilak Verma, and Arjun Tendulkar.

Former Australian cricketer Aaron Finch believes that the young Turks in the Mumbai Indians team stand out in the absence of big stars which is always a good sign for any team.

Talking on Star Sports Cricket Live, Finch said, “In the absence of superstars like Jasprit Bumrah and Jopher Archer, the youth have stood up for Mumbai Indians. The team was missing the big guns in the first few matches, but these young kids have come into their own.” Now it’s taken it upon themselves to distribute.”
