ICC Rankings: Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan moves closer to Suryakumar Yadav in T20I standings

Pakistan’s star opener Mohammad Rizwan has moved closer to India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings announced on Wednesday. Rizwan scored an unbeaten 98 off 62 balls during the fifth and final match of the T20I series against New Zealand. Furthermore, he ended the series as the highest run-scorer with 162 runs.

Suryakumar, however, is still on top with 906 rating points. On the other hand, due to his impressive performance, Rizwan has gained 13 rating points and his total has increased from 798 to 811 points. He is second with a difference of less than 100 rating points.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam has lost 13 rating points after his stellar performance in the T20I series and is currently at 756 points. However, he has retained the third position. He is followed by Aiden Markram and Riley Rossouw with 748 and 724 points respectively. New Zealand player Mark Chapman made the biggest jump in the rankings for batsmen. He climbed 45 places to reach his career-best 35th position after his match-winning century in that final game of the series against Pakistan.

Rashid Khan has retained his top spot in the bowlers’ rankings th 710 rating points. He is followed by his Afghanistan teammate Fazalhaq Farooqui who has 692 points. Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga and Mahesh Thikshana, Adil are at the third, fourth, and fifth positions with 690, 686,684 points respectively.

The T20I all-rounder rankings list is topped by Shakib Al Hasan with 269 rating points. Ahead of him is India’s star cricketer Hardik Pandya who has 250 points. Mohammad Nabi (230), Shadab Khan (184), and Wanindu Hasaranga (174) are third, fourth, and fifth.

When it comes to Indians, Virat Kohli is the next batsman from the country in the T20I batting standings after Suryakumar. He has jumped one place to be at 14th position with 612 rating points. On the other hand, Arshdeep Singh has jumped one place to reach 13th position in the bowling rankings with 635 points.
