Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) witnessed a historic day in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, with Venkatesh Iyer scoring a century. It was the first time in almost 15 years that a KKR player had scored a century in the IPL, with Brendon McCullum being the last, having done so in the inaugural edition of the T20 league in the very first match. While predicting a KKR player to score a century is a tough ask considering the 15-year drought, one fan had almost accurately predicted what Sunday’s match would bring.
In a tweet that is going viral on social media, a fan almost accurately predicted that Venkatesh would score a hundred in 51 balls. Although the KKR all-rounder’s century came in 49 balls, he eventually scored 104 off 51 balls.
