IPL 2023 - Watch: CSK teammate Deepak Chahar in awe of MS Dhoni's batting practice as he walks away for safety

MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings registered an eight-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday. With this win, he has reached the third position in the points table. According to several reports, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 could be the last for Dhoni. However, there is no confirmation about this. In fact, in this IPL, Dhoni has shown that his firepower is still intact. Apart from superb wicketkeeping reflexes, Dhoni has mostly used himself over the years to take CSK to massive totals with some big hitting. His batting is now scaring not only the opposing bowlers but also his teammates. In a recent video that went viral on social media, Dhoni can be seen shadow practicing in the team dugout. As he swings his bat, it almost hits Deep Chahar, who is so horrified that he walks away.

Handling youngsters in the death overs is a ‘challenge’ and Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is looking to the experienced Dwayne Bravo to help him. Along with Dhoni, Bravo has been a part of some of CSK’s best wins in the Indian Premier League. “It’s a tough one for the youngsters. But they are working hard. Bravo is one of the specialists. Under his leadership, the bowlers’ confidence will grow. It is a team game. Coaches, bowling coach and senior players guide them. ” Dhoni said after his team’s eight-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday.

Dhoni has been impressed with Shivam Dube’s footwork against spinners but said he needs to work on his batting against pacers.

In the team’s match against RCB, Dube scored 52 off 27 balls. After scoring 226 for six, CSK emerged victorious by eight runs.
