Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets in their previous IPL 2023 match. Chasing a target of 186, the biggest contribution came from Ishan Kishan, who scored 58 off 25 balls. For the last three matches, Mumbai have been missing the services of their star pacer Jofra Archer, who has been ruled out due to an elbow injury. It will be interesting to see whether Archer will make a comeback in the playing XI.
MI, who struggled in the first two matches, now look to field a very balanced side with Tilak Verma also in good touch, while the flamboyant duo of Cameron Green and Tim David also matter the most.

In Archer’s absence, Riley Meredith has shouldered the responsibility in the last two games that he has played, but MI are yet to zero in on a steady pace unit that scored Jason Behrendorff’s try the other day.
Arjun Tendulkar and Dwayne Jansen were also handed IPL debuts on Sunday and it remains to be seen whether Mumbai Indians persist with the pair or not.
