RR’s Jos Buttler is second in the list of highest run-getters with a score of 244 from six matches. The list of highest wicket-takers includes LSG Mark Wood, RR’s Yuzvendra Chahal and Gujarat Titans’ Rashid with 11 wickets each – the most by any bowler.

Talking about the match, the pitch was not conducive for batting but the bowlers still had work to do, and Lucknow Super Giants did just that with a 10-run win over Rajasthan Royals in the IPL on Wednesday. Chasing 155, RR were restricted to 144 for six as their return to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium after four years ended in disappointment, despite a credible outing from the very first ball of the evening.

RR openers Jos Buttler and Yashvi Jaiswal knew that playing the strokes on this track would not be easy but they managed to keep pace with the required run rate.

However, LSG made a remarkable comeback to emerge victorious in the end.

Young Jaiswal scored 44 runs in 35 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes, while his senior opening partner Butter scored 40 runs in 41 runs.

LSG waited a long time before bringing their impact player Amit Mishra into action. And for their first breakthrough, they had to wait till the 12th over when Jaiswal cut Marcus Stoinis at short third man fielder Avesh Khan, who had injured his hand while completing a low catch.
